Flaming June?

Day 1 of our dig was hot and humid with some light rain throughout the day. The forecast was for heavy showers, thunder and lightning which didn't materialise, so we escaped lightly.

Today - Day 2 of our dig was cancelled due to heavy rain overnight which continued for most of the day. An inspection of our camp this morning found it intact and mostly dry, which was a relief after we lost a gazebo last year following an overnight rain storm that filled the canopy with water and the weight bent the legs.

Tomorrow, weather permitting, we will return, and with more volunteers expected on site, we hope to make some progress and make up for the day that we lost today.

So much for 'Flaming June'!
